“Ider” is not my legal name, so why do I use “Ider” as my chosen name?
我的中文名字跟“证件(ZHÈNG JIÀN)”同音,而“证件”的英文可以翻译成 “Identity”。因此我取 “Id” 作为英文名前缀,然后取 “er” 作为后缀以表示人。同时也喻意我期望是个能用自己证明自己的“证人”。
My Chinese legal name is homophonous with “证件(ZHÈNG JIÀN)”, which translates to “Identity” in English. In light of this, I have chosen to use “Id” as a prefix for my name and added “er” as a suffix to denote that I am an individual.
